Train Thailand 2012

It has been talked about long enough so now it is time for action.

The first ever International Taekwon-Do camp organized by the Academy is now confirmed to be held from the 30th of March to the 2nd of April 2012.

You all would be aware that for the past 4 years the Founder of our Academy has been living in Thailand establishing a presence for the ITF under President Prof. Chang Ung. Mr. Moulden as ITF representative in Thailand will host the event and along with Mr. Coleman, Mr. Dieben, Mr. Richardson, Mrs. Dieben and Mrs. Moulden will conduct the various activities.

The location will be in a city called Singburi some 150 kilometers north West of Bangkok. where Mr. Moulden lives and conducts regular classes.

Along with the Taekwon-Do training it is expected that a great deal of cultural exchange will take place between students and their families making long term friendships and gaining an appreciation for how others deal with the 21st Century.

The School holidays commence on Saturday the 31st of March so it will be necessary to take two additional days off to allow for travel on Thursday the 29th of March. PLAN FOR THIS NOW! and don‘t leave it until the last minute to ask the boss for time off.

The following provides a tentative schedule:

Thursday 29th March Depart Brisbane Domestic around mid-day for a connecting International flight from Sydney at approx. 5pm.

Thursday 29th Arrive Bangkok approx. 11pm and overnight in a convenient hotel.

Friday 30th Depart for Singburi by bus at 9am arriving Singburi at approx 11:30am.

Friday 30th Welcome dinner function with Thai students and families.

Saturday 31st camp 5:30am to 5:30pm

Saturday 31st After dinner experience the great Singburi night markets.

Sunday 1st April Camp 5:30am - 5:30pm

Sunday Evening 3rd Dan testing.

Monday 2nd April Breakfast 7: 30am followed by farewells and departure by bus at 10am.

With the camp over it is highly likely that having come so far all will want to experience as much of Thailand as possible. Students return to school Tuesday the 10th of April and it is thought that the return flight would be best on Thursday the 5th arriving in Brisbane via Sydney at approx. 9:30am on Good Friday the 6th. This will allow four days to recuperate and celebrate Easter with family and friends.

There are two options for all to consider:

1. Once back in Bangkok visitors are left to their own devices for as long or as short as they wish.

2. A list of options to fill three days in and around Bangkok is provided and visitors can choose in advance what and where they will spend their time until Thursday. Advance bookings and itinerary planning will be assisted by Mr. & Mrs. Moulden to ensure all goes smoothly.

Subsequent newsletters will seek commitment from those interested along with various costs and deadlines for payment. Be assured that you will be provided with convenient options at the best prices we can negotiate.
